The nursing staff consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The nurse to patient ratio varies depending on the acuity of the patients. A master-staffing matrix, based upon levels of census and patient acuity serves as a guideline for the staffing purposes. The Chief Nursing Officer or Director of Nursing has the authority to exceed staffing guidelines based on the acuity of the patients. Professional Registered Nurses are available to provide direct patient care and supervise all Licensed and Non-Licensed nursing staff.
